What differentiates Qualys TotalAppSec from other similar products?

Qualys TotalAppSec stands out with its strong integration across the Qualys Cloud Platform, giving a unified view of application and infrastructure vulnerabilities. Unlike many tools, it offers scalable coverage for both web apps and APIs with detailed reporting. Its compliance support and continuous monitoring also make it more enterprise-friendly than some competitors.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect of Qualys TotalAppSec is the detailed visibility it provides into application vulnerabilities. The dashboards and reports are easy to understand, which makes prioritizing remediation much simpler. I also like how it ties in with other Qualys modules, so everything can be managed from one platform

What do you dislike most about this product?

The main drawback is that initial setup and configuration can be a bit complex, especially for new users. Scan times can also feel long when dealing with large applications. The interface, while improving, can sometimes be overwhelming until you get used to it

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I’d recommend giving enough time for proper setup and tuning to get accurate scan results. Make use of its integration with other Qualys modules to get the full benefit of the platform. It’s best suited for mid-to-large organizations that need strong visibility and centralized management for application security.
