Create a small list of tasks you need to automate, request a demo copy, and give it a test drive. It is very simple to use.

Product adequate but development/support lacking.

What differentiates Fortra's Automate from other similar products?
Platform Support, particularly as we transitioned from iSeries and the Robot Scheduler product and needed similar capabilities with UNIX and Automate.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The UI is generally well laid out, and over the years documentation (help pages) has been improving, but unfortunately in the most recent release the performance has degraded badly.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Lack of support. Without warning we were informed the product is on its way to being sunset and there will be no further development, and support would be "best effort." Support team has failed to help resolve performance issues and UI failures that we have reported, ultimately deferring to the product management statement of direction as an excuse.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Don't consider this product. As it's reaching end of life, if you want to continue a relationship with Fortra, look instead at their JAMS product, or consider any of the several other well-known vendors in this space.

It is different because it is more reliable and user friendly than others.

Fortra's Automate provides differentiated or unique product features or vendor capabilities.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It is a bit costly than the other options available.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would surely recommend everyone to use this product atleast once and I will grade it 9 out of 10.
