What differentiates Microsoft Dynamics 365 from other similar products?

The biggest differentiator of Dynamics 365 is that it directly integrates with other Microsoft tools like Excel, Outlook and Teams. Whenever I send an email from Outlook, it shows up in my lead history. The overall customization and ecosystem is quite strong. If you have a clear workflow, you can easily align it with your goals as well, from outreach to service. I think it's not just for sales, it's designed to run the entire business.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

What I liked the most is that the customer history and activity log are all in one place. When I write notes after a call, track emails and then schedule a follow-up, I don’t have to search for context again and again. This is very practical for me. Visibility in the pipeline is better and the status of deals is clear and data quality also helps. If the team manages things with discipline, reporting becomes quite meaningful. When the right structure is created, overall clarity becomes an essential routine. Work also seems faster and the mind is less stressed.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The major problem is that customization is difficult and really requires technical expertise to deal with it. Sometimes we have to make few small changes like adding a few fields, but that still requires an IT person to come help us out.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If your company is small and you just need to track leads and deals, relying on this software would require more time and effort. It's better to get HubSpot or Pipedrive. But if your company already uses Microsoft products and has a large budget, you might want to consider it. One more thing is definitely take training. First, I recommend using the free trial for at least 15 days. Everything looks fast in the demo, but it's different in real life.
