Smartlogic Semaphore, Adaptive GEM Solutions, Solidatus, and Collibra Platform, are the 2021 MetaData Management Data Quadrant Gold Medalists.
TORONTO – June 10, 2021 – SoftwareReviews, a division of IT research and advisory firm Info-Tech Research Group, has published its2021 Metadata Management Data Quadrant Awards, naming four vendors as gold medalists. The following vendors are leaders according to the feedback provided by their end-users via SoftwareReviews’ comprehensive online survey. What makes the SoftwareReviews Data Quadrant different?
The study involves gathering intelligence on user satisfaction with both product features and the experience with the vendor. Aggregated emotional response ratings are included in the areas of service, negotiation, product impact, conflict resolution, and strategy and innovation to create a powerful indicator of overall user feeling toward the vendor and its product – all from the software users’ point of view. Smartlogic Semaphore, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +98, scored top product in many areas, exceeding user expectations in business glossary. This product feature defines main business terms and their intended use for all business operations. Adaptive GEM Solutions, received a Net Emotional Footprint of +97 and ranked strongly on the ability to manage taxonomies and organizational classifications while allowing customers to record metadata about tracked third parties, which can provide helpful business context, such as data types shared with the third party.
Solidatus, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +93, excelled in providing users with data lineage, a map of data Journey. Collibra Platform, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +98, performed very well in providing users with easy-to-use collaboration capabilities.
In general, MetaData Management users were most satisfied with the collaboration features, allowing users to easily view, share, and direct work between co-workers in real or near real-time. However, the users were most dissatisfied with complicated customizations.
